rEcess is a once per month respite program that offers free care to children with disabilities and their siblings while their parents enjoy a night out.
Volunteer hours are 3:00pm-9:30pm one Saturday per month, September through June. T-Shirt and dinner provided for all volunteers.
rEcess is a fun-filled evening of activities that kids love! We will train you to work with children with disabilities and their siblings.
Volunteer hours are tracked for OSSD requirements and corporate impact.
Requirements
- Volunteer application
- Resume
- 2 letters of reference
- In person interview
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (18+)
- A passion for working with families affected by disability
